# Stoicheia

**Stoicheia** is a dual gate sequencer published under the GNU GPL v2 as Open Source and Open-source hardware.^{[1]}

## Hardware

It uses an Atmel AVR microcontroller and is programmed the same as an Arduino Diecimila. It has a USB interface, two clock inputs, and two eight-step sequence outputs which can be chained to give a single output.^{[1]}

## Operation

It sequences a Euclidean rhythm as described by Godfried T. Toussaint in his 2005 paper "The Euclidean Algorithm Generates Traditional Musical Rhythms"^{[1]}
