The panels are made using .062" aluminium, which is thinner than that used for [[MOTM DIY parts#Blank_panels|MOTM front panels]]. They're strengthened by the sides being bent over to form flanges. To mount them into the rack, the face of the panel is extended at the top and bottom by 0.4".<ref name="dotcom">[http://www.synthesizers.com/technical.html Technical Information], Synthesizers.com</ref>
