'''Charles Blakey''' (? – 198?) set up [[Digisound Ltd]] in the 1970s. Based in Blackpool, England, it was run as a family concern. Charles was responsible for the design of a number of synthesizer modules which appeared in the electronics magazine [[ETI]] from February 1980 and into early 1981. From about June 1981, [[Maplin Electronics Ltd.|Maplin]]'s newly-founded magazine [[Electronics & Music Maker]] took over the publishing of articles on new [[Digisound 80]] modules as they came out (although ETI did publish two or three others up until mid 1985).<ref>[http://www.digisound80.co.uk/digisound/history/history.htm Digisound History]</ref>
