The difference between Analog (top) and Digital (bottom) Signals.

Analog (signals of data), unlike Digital, are not limited to being only two states/voltages. An Analog signal can be anywhere in between the highest and lowest values of volts(-12V to +12V on any standard Eurorack power rail, for example).
