Stoicheia is a dual gate sequencer published under the GNU GPL v2 as Open Source and Open-source hardware.[1]
Hardware
It uses an Atmel AVR microcontroller and is programmed the same as an Arduino Diecimila. It has a USB interface, two clock inputs, and two eight-step sequence outputs which can be chained to give a single output.[1]
Operation
It sequences a Euclidean rhythm as described by Godfried T. Toussaint in his 2005 paper "The Euclidean Algorithm Generates Traditional Musical Rhythms"[1]
