Look Mum No Computer
Look Mum No Computer, or LMNC for short, is the stage name of Sam Battle, a British musician and maker. Sam initiated Look Mum No Computer in April 2016, initially as the name for a zine. LMNC gained popularity through his YouTube channel, where he shares videos documenting the process of building various electronic instruments, conducting experiments, and showcasing his musical creations. Sam is particularly known for repurposing old electronic devices, circuit bending, and creating unusual synthesizers and musical instruments. His videos often showcase his inventive and sometimes whimsical approach to music-making, appealing to both music enthusiasts and DIY electronics enthusiasts. Some of his notable creations include the Furby Organ, a musical instrument made from a large number of Furbies, and the Flamethrower Organ, which incorporates flames as a visual and auditory element in the performance. Sam also developed the Kosmo modular synth format, designed to make live performances easier than with Eurorack.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
